Meet Dr. Faulkner
With roots in Alfred, Maine, Dr. Faulkner attended Colby College and continued onto Georgetown University to receive his Doctorate in Dental Surgery (D.D.S.). He completed his orthodontic specialty training at Boston University. Dr. Faulkner is one of the few orthodontists in the state that is Board Certified. He served as President of the Maine Board of Dental Examiners for many years. Dr. Faulkner is especially proud of his role as a trustee at the Carroll School, a language-based disability day school in Lincoln, Massachusetts. Dr. Faulkner is also the founder and chairman of the "YES" Foundation, a program that provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors.
Dr. Faulkner likes to emphasize the importance of facial profile in his treatment plans. He feels that the end result should appear natural and complement the patient's appearance. Over the years, he has enjoyed the dramatic improvements in our patients. A beautiful and healthy smile improves a patient's self-esteem tremendously. For Dr. Faulkner, experiencing a patient beaming with self-confidence after treatment is the best part of being an orthodontist.
In his free time, Dr. Faulkner keeps busy as a ski patrol at Sugarloaf, an EMT for Kennebunk Emergency Medical Services, and a coach for his sons' baseball and football teams. Dr. Faulkner is an avid participant in motocross with his sons as well as a cheerleader for his son's and daughter's artistic endeavors. Despite all his activities, Dr. Faulkner has proven that he values his family time above all. With his wife, Nancy, and their three children, the Faulkner family enjoys lots of fun times together whether at home, traveling, or attending sporting events.
